Last year at Star Wars Weekends, Disney offered a special "cast yourself in Carbonite" experience where guests could get a figurine of them frozen in Carbonite.  Disney is bringing back this option as well as a brand new choice.

In addition to the frozen in Carbonite look, guests can choose to make them look like they are a Storm Trooper.  

The special 10-minute experience will use single-shot 3D face scanner to capture the image of your head and add it to either the frozen in Carbonite figurine or the Storm Trooper figurine.  Guests will receive their figurine in 4-6 weeks if they live in the United States. 

Guests will also receive either a Carbon-Freeze Me light-up band or a collector button depending upon which option they choose.

The cost for either experience is $99.95, plus shipping and sales tax.

Two celebrities have independently announced to their fans that they will be in attendance for Star Wars Weekends this year.

Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett in original trilogy) announced on his personal website he will be in attendance for the first weekend.  Meanwhile, Dee Bradley Baker (voice actor from Clone Wars series) announced he will also be in attendance for the first weekend.

Neither celebrity has been officially confirmed by Disney but we should expect official word soon.

Billy Dee Williams will be a celebrity guest again at Star Wars Weekends 2013.

WIlliams, who played Lando Calrissian in the Episodes 5 and 6 of the Star Wars films, will attend weekend 4, June 7-9, 2013.

Williams has plans to meet park guests for autographs as well as participate in the "Stars of the Saga" talk show during his time at Star Wars Weekends.

Disney has revealed some of the merchandise it plans on selling during Star Wars Weekends 2013.  This year's merchandise celebrates the 30th anniversary of the release of "Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi"

Disney has released artwork for Star Wars Weekends 2013 that feature Jedi Mickey Mouse on a speeder bike with Chip and Dale.  The trio are on the Forest Moon of Endor, where they are speeding away from Scout Troopers.  The artwork commemorates the 30th anniversary of “Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi” — the film that featured the Battle of Endor.

In addition, Disney has announced that Ray Park (Darth Maul) will be attending Star Wars Weekends 1 and 2 while Warwick Davis will be a celebrity guest for Weekends 2 and 3.

Disney has confirmed the dates and celebrity hosts of Star Wars Weekends 2013.

Disney has announced the official dates somewhat earlier than usual and in addition, we also know the two celebrity hosts for each weekend.  James Arnold Taylor (voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the on Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and Ashley Eckstein (voice of Ahsoka Tano on Star Wars: The Clone Wars).

James is the Official Celebrity Host of Star Wars Weekends 2013, and Ashley is Celebrity Host of "Behind the Force," a live show that takes fans behind-the-scenes in the Star Wars universe.
