Our 2nd day but different wknd. My goal this weekend was celebrity autographs and character autographs. Anything else were icing on the cake. We stayed onsite at Boardwalk Villa specifically so I can walk it to HS leaving at 4AM while the family slept in a bit. Only problem...I got lost in the dark! Apparently reached Epcot's International Gateway (it was closed) turned back, tried opposite direction, got to the yacht club's lighthouse, tried asking directions "no comprende" then finally found the signs. Actually arrived for Billy Dee Williams line at 5:22 AM.
Line was already long. Family arrived at 7:10AM, directed them to Jeremy Buloch's line which was way shorter. If they could get it, then they were to go for Ashley Eckstein's which was also short, then come and get in my line. That was the plan. Actual results- I got one standby for Billy Dee, DH and 2 kids got their 1 session with Jeremy Bulloch, and 3 standby's for Ashley Eckstein's. What we got at the end of the day- I got my autograph with Billy Dee, DH and kids got theirs with Jeremy and Ashley's. Will try for Ray Park's tomorrow morning.
We had done the majority of character autographs at the "dark force" side last wknd so we hopped over to the light side. Got in line for Chewbacca and Wicket which was already getting pretty long, then over to Luke and Leia's line. On our way over we had seen the JTA's line and that was longer than the prior weekend, good luck to them!
Found spots for the parade this time by Star Tours, then got back in line for C3PO which was a surprise for me, didn't know he was going to be there. Wait times were longer than last weekend, 30-40 min/character. Lines were longer for the Jedi Mickey/Minnie/Darth Goofy/Donald. Hard to judge when they would switch over.
Way too hot and humid, at 1 PM decided to walk over to Sci Fi and see if we can do a walk in. If so, we'd cancel our 4:30 time since it conflicted with Jeremy Bulloch's autograph. Luckily they took us in and the darkness and coolness helped to revive us.
Started raining, Jeremy's tent was moved to the Sounds Dangerous stage where DH and kids got their autograph. Went to Ashley's tent where she's very engaging with the kids, very accommodating to the standbyes. Heat getting to the kids, it was 6:30, decided not to wait for the Hyperspace Hoopla. I was disappointed but kids were tired and DH was hurting (sandal blisters).
Next day(Saturday) supposed to leave but I got up at 5AM for Ray Parks. Got in line by 5:15 and got 1 FP 2nd session(2:47PM). Made friends with a family and they got me one more FP. Wanted 1st session. We did a few more character autographs till 1st session, then I wheeled and dealed and traded and got 1 1st session FP and 1 stand by.
Ray Parks is amazing! Very interactive, did a lightsabre technique move for the kid in front of my son, wrote messages and asked for names while signing autographs. Spends so much time that not many standbys got in but my daughter got in. He asked us to stick around for the Trip to the Maul show and my son to be in it but we had to leave by noon. Then they asked if the kids could be in the parade so DH reluctantly said yes. Kids had a blast. Wish we could have stayed longer!
