With Friday being the last day of my vacation, I decided to end it the way it started-with StarWars Weekends. This time, though, there was one major difference-I was going alone. Mysister was suffering from a nasty sunburn and only lasted long enough to get a fast pass forAshley while I grabbed one for Dee Bradley Baker. Since she was unable to stay, she carefullyhanded her wristband and pass over to me.
So, first off was of course Star Tours twice before heading over to Behind the Force with Ashley,Dee and James. It was hilarious. James and Dee kept everyone laughing allowing us to see howrecording sessions could be so fun. The star of the show, however, was James' daughter Lydia. She was absolutely adorable modeling one of Ashley's Her Universe shirts.
After the show came waiting for the parade. A word to the wise for everyone, with the shorterparade this year, it's very difficult to find some place in the shade unless you want to wait forover an hour which is a bit long for children. Still, the wait was worth it since I was able to get inthe front at the meeting at the stage and snag a few good pictures.
Cooling down was the next priority. A problem I've found is that the bottles of water at DisneyParks never seem to be cold enough so I ask for a glass of ice with the water. It really helps. Nextstop was some shade which ended up being the line for Darth Vader. Since he hadn't arrived yet,I was third in line and only had to wait about twenty minutes.
After Darth Vader, I caught Darth Maul before he went on break but I think I lost that staringcontest. Oh well. There's always next year.
Next, it was time for my fast passes. Ashley was first. She was as pleasant as always. She evenrecognized me from the first Behind the Force show of the day. Dee was next and was a riot, joking with everyone no matter their age.
With autographs done, it was time for Anthony's show. I went into it ready to hate it but eagerfor some A/C. It ended up being a good show but all he really did was talk about himself andhow he made C-3PO the character that so many people love. (The last part of that sentence waswritten with sarcasm just in case that wasn't clear)
The final stop was James' show which I ended up sitting beside Lydia in the second row. Shewas very polite and eagerly cheered her father on every chance she got. It was a bit of an eye-opener to see. When I think of James Arnold Taylor, I think of a famous voice actor who voicesmy favorite Star Wars character. To Lydia, that was her father on stage doing what he does everyday.
Once James' show was over, it was time to call it a day and an end to the vacation. I wish I couldhave stayed longer but reality calls. Here's to next year.
