Star Wars Weekends

OUTSTANDING! We arrived at the park at about 8:30 am Friday, June
8th, and got in the merchandise line. My wife was going to attempt a
Fast-Pass for Ray-Parks but we learned that a line for that had formed
at 5 am and to control the crowd the Disney Management had started
letting people in for that Fast-Pass at 7 am. I've seen complaints
about the crowd management, but when you look at the sheer volume of
people showing up for this, in addition to the hundreds sho9wing up
just for the theme park, you really have to appreciate how well it is
all handled. The major problem, which was not major at all, was the
limited space they had to sell the special merchandise (Jabba's Hut).
You had to stand in line for the Limited Edition products and then go
back behind the line you were in to stand in line to pay for your
products. Both lines moved at an excellent pace and as always the
Disney crew was a great deal of fun and handled the fracas very, very
competantly! And by the way, we scored both the PRINCESS MINNIE AND
X-WING MICKEY BIG FIGS!!! MICKEY WAS NOT SOLD OUT AS OF LATE EVENING
FRIDAY!!!! So there is a chance that on weekend 3 you could score
STORMTROOPER DONALD, PRINCESS MINNIE, AND THE MAIN MOUSE HIMSELF!

The Character greetings were great. My wonderful wife scored fast
passes to Tower od Terror and met up with me as I was exiting Jabba's
Hut. We had time to kill and so much to do so where did we start? By
getting in line for the one and only JEDI MICKEY! This was the longest
line we stood in all weekend in any of the parks! It was 40 minutes,
but not bad at all as we got to watch the Jedi Training Academy and RAY
PARKS passed right by us on the way to his signing! My wife was all
a-fluttered. The lesson here is time your Fast-Passes right and in
spite of 40 to 100 minute wait times you won't have to wait on anything
long.

We have been to Disney World many times and every time has been a
wonderful experience, but this weekend was by far the best! We loved it
and are gearing up for next year!
