Weekend 2 - Tyler

OK so we decided to go to the second weekend after the first weekend being so much
fun. My brother and I arrived at MGM at about 4:45 in the morning to find that the
autograph line for Ray Park was already to the ticket booths. Most of the people in
line were the same people we had talked to the previous weekend.

This week however the Disney Cast Members were smart enough to allow the line in
prior to the EMH guests which was horrible the previous Friday. They slowly walked
us back to Indy where the fast pass machines were located but we still had to wait
another two hours since they did not turn on the machines until right at nine. We
both got a fastpass for Ray Park, but where unable to get one for Daniel as the line
was already to long. Our Fastpasses were for 10:20 so we had about an hour to kill
so we decided to head over to the rock and roller coaster, which already had a 50
minute wait so we got in the singles line and it only took about fifteen minutes
then. On our way back to the autograph section we noticed a big surprise Ray Park
was going to be doing a martial arts demonstration at 6PM called a visit to the
Maul. We made note of this to attend later. We got in line for Ray Parks autograph
and let me tell you I dont know who was friendlier over the weekend between the
three celebrities this weekend but I hope all of them attend future star wars
weekends because they were great. We then decided to go get good spots for the
parade in front of the ABC theater, the parade was not as good as the previous
Friday because for some reason the 501st did not march, the bright side to the
parade though was when Ray Park decided to jump out of his car do some flips and
take a kids Darth Maul lightsaber and do some tricks for him, I asked him on
Saturday what Disney Security thought of this and he said they were not pleased but
he was probaly going to do it again on Saturday. After the parade we went and met
with Dave Dorman who was in the bookstore signing his new book and anything else
anyone had brought, plus he was signing a signature card he brought with him just
for star wars weekends. Then we went and got in line for Stars of the Saga (video
coming soon). After stars of the Saga it was so hot outside we decided to go back
to the hotel for a while before coming back to a Visit to the Maul. We arrived back
at the park at about 4:30 and went right to the ABC theater but were not allowed to
wait until 5. Wristbands were given out to kids who were than escorted to the front
of the theater. At about 5:45 they let us in the theater. This show was great Ray
showed off some of his impressive martial arts moves to the Darth Maul face
character from the park. Then held a Jedi Training Academy Ray Park style with all
the kids who had gotten wristbands. The show ended at about 640 so we headed over
to the hoopla right after. The Hoopla turned out to be more fun than I had expected
with all the characters interacting with the crowd and dancing, this is probaly the
best time to get pictures with characters without having to wait in a long line.
The hoopla ended and it was time to head out, But wait there was a shuttle launch so
we stayed and saw the shuttle launch right in front of star tours ending our day.

On Saturday we got to MGM about 5 and the autograph lines for Ray were past the
ticket booth already. We got in Rays line again and got our pass for him at 9 for
1040 but we were able to get one for Jay and Daniel today as well. When we went to
get the autograph Ray Park remembered us from Friday and told me about the security
freaking out when he jumped ship during the parade. We then went and bought the
pins for the weekend were there was no wait at all for merchandise and got some
pictures with the darkside characters. We then went and watched the Stars of the
Saga show again which was entertaining. When that ended it was time to go get
Daniels autograph which did not take long. By this time it was about 97 degrees
outside so decided to call it a day. We gave away our Jay autograph fastpass to a
family who was unable to get there early enough with there kids since we got his
autograph the previous weekend.

Overall it was a great weekend. Hopefully the third weekend will be as fun, and
maybe they will add another 6pm kind of show because otherwise there really is not a
whole lot to do after the Stars of the Saga show.
