Weekend 3 - branlawhead

I just got back from a great Star Wars Weekend. Here are a few tips that worked out well for us: 1. Sign up immediately for the Padawan Mind Challenge; 2. Look for a Disney staff member in red near the info booth at about 10:20 if you want your child in the parade. 3. Wait on the Toy Story Fast passes. We went by at the beginning of the park opening (afer signing up for the mind challenge) and the line was very long. We visited some characters, and came back later. We got a fast passs for the evening and did not have to wait in line at all for the fast pass. 4. Eat dinner at the restaurant by the Star Wars Stage (free refills on pop); get in line for the final Jedi Training at the front by the rope. Then stay there and you will have a front row spot for the Hyperspace Hoopla. The characters will come and high five you - a special treat for the kids. 5. The Wickets Warehouse is open past 7, so unless its raining, you can do that anytime. When it did rain, though, you should know that they transferred Darth Vader and Darth Maul into Wicket's Warehouse for character greeting. 6. Don't worry about getting in line for either of the shows hosted by Jai Lagaia or Ashley Eckstein inside the studio. There will be available seating if you slip in at the last minute. 7. When you're in line to see Darth Vader, you can meet another character who will likely have no line (Mike Wazowski - Monster's Inc) or while in the Jedi Line (Mace, Anakin) - Cars 8. People were lining up for fast passes for autographs BEFORE 7:00 a.m. There were some autograph cards (with picture of the celebrity - 1 per family) that were being given out at the tents where the celebrity was greeting people.
