First time was yesterday (Saturday) and it was pretty awesome. Fortunately it didn't rain appreciably. I have a 6 year old, so we didn't wait in the long lines to get FastPasses to get autographs from the stars who appeared---they were the humans behind the masks of Darth Vader and Boba Fett. Instead we booked it to the Padawan Trivia desk and got him signed up for the a.m. round. He did pretty well for a 6-year old. The parade was totally cool---something not to be missed. We spent the rest of the day getting pictures with all the characters who roamed around the Backlot area. My son Jackson was a big hit, as he had an entire Darth Vader costume from last Halloween, and I wore a Jedi Robe so we were in lots of people's pictures and we had lots of folks watching us. After buying lots of loot and one of those 50% off R2D2s at Wickets Warehouse, we made sure that we saw the rest of the Star Wars events and headed back up front for the Hyperspace Hoopla. After a day of Star Wars this one is a must see. Just get there super early to get up front, or do as we did--stand clear in the back where your child can stand on the railing near the bushes (gets him about 3 or 4 feet of elevation) and lean up against you. Got lots of pics and video with characters and we had a great time.
