Weekend 3 - kblanco

Week Three

We overslept and didn't get to the park until about 7:15 am on Saturday morning. Upon trying to park in the usual Music lot, this time they did a reverse and moved us up to the first lot. The line for Matthew Wood was the longest followed by an almost but not as close Amy Allen. My son and I did the line for Matthew Wood and my husband took Amy Allen. I was the most nervous I had been so far about not receiving a Fast Pass as the line looked really long at that point. It turns out we got in the last signing for Matthew Wood, The first signing for Amy Allen and Standby for Amy Allen.

We went in search of bad guys to start with but by the time we found them, it was time for the first signing with Amy Allen.

After the signing we went back for the bad guy meet and greets but while online for Darth Maul they moved the line to inside of Wickets Warehouse because it started to rain. Now this was the most disorganized line I have seen. For those of us in back of the line, we had no idea where we were going. The line began to move quicker and quicker until it seemed that everyone was jogging, LOL and got very confusing. At one point the people in front of me turned into the Backlot tour and I went to follow when my husband said no ... that is not the line. We had to stop to figure out where we were going. By that point, people that were previously in back of me were way ahead of me so I ran to catch up. Then people started accusing other people of cutting and it got crazy. It was just not handled well at all.

Ok, so after standing in line for not too long ... considering ... We were able to take pictures with Darth Maul and Jango Fett. They told us that they were bringing more characters inside due to the rain but they weren't guaranteeing who and we had to get back in line. At this point it was pouring out and I figured we'd be outside doing the same thing were it not raining, so we got back in line. This line lasted a good 2 hours at least. During that time we saw characters come and go and come back again due to the 15 minute rule. People were very cranky and again all you could hear was "Why isn't the line moving?" When we finally reached the end of the line I was a little bummed because we had most of the characters there already, but I just retook the pictures as I wasn't letting two hours go to waste. My son was happy to get Boba Fett so it was worth it.

After a short pitt stop at the car for something to eat, we headed over to our Matthew Wood signing. It was drizzling so they had him and Amy Allen in the Sound Studio. After Matthew Wood and watching R2D2 we stood with the other people who had standbys for Amy Allen. The Good news is that we were able to get in.

While the hubby brought all the autograph materials to the car we headed over to Toy Story Mania as we had Fast Passes. I was pleased as I got my highest score yet. On the way back we decided to try to get pictures with Donald and Goofy as they are the only ones left of the Fab 4 that we needed. Mission accomplished after about a 20 minute wait.
We decided to see the Hoopla today. We sat and waited for about an hour. Here's the deal with that as I saw it. If you want to get a close up spot by the stage for this, you need to get a close-up spot for the Padawan Mind Challenge and or Jedi Training Academy that happens prior the Hoopla. Everyone who had a spot for that just stayed where they were and waited for the Hoopla. We were all too tired to fight the crowd for a "better spot" so we just found a seat at the cafe across the way from the stage. The seats weren't perfect, especially if you want good pictures, but you could see and enjoy it while sitting down. Again ... this was another "event/show" that we enjoyed. It was borderline hysterical and if we have the chance to see it again next week, we will.

We promised to take our son over to the Rock n RollerCoaster after that and also Tower of Terror. We were shocked at just how crowded the other side was once we got there. Even the single rider line was like an hour and a 1/2. We were too tired to hit the Tower of Tower so that was that. The little one was asleep before we left the parking lot.
