Ok, this was the BIG one, Dave Prowse, Darth Vader himself. As planned and discussed my kids and I arrived at 3:30 am to DHS, I was prepared and packed with blankets, pillows, portable DVD's for the kids not te get bored and too tired, shortly after our arrival I did a head count and there were around 55 people in front of us, I was happy, the line really started getting long around 5am. CM's informed us that they were 50 fp's per session, around 7:45am the CM's head count to my spot was 110, there was a small group of about 5 people at the front of the line that were holding spots for 25 more that came at 7:30am, this got me angry because if I can get my 2 kids to get up early and make the line, this group of adults can do it too. Anyways ended up getting end of 2nd session for Mr. Prowse, my son had gotten in the line for Mr. Bulloch and we got 1st session for him. Decided not to do too much, since the very early wake up call, mostly walked around, got a couple of pics of characters, saw the behind the force show with Ashley and Matt, saw the parade, went into Wickets Warehouse and already some of the t-shirts are on sale from $26 to $21.95, so I'm planning on going next weekend and see if I get anything on sale. Time for Mr. Prowse session, it was raining so the autograph sessions were moved indoors to SOunds Dangerous, this is a great spot, nice and air conditioned, Mr. Prowse was delightfull, talked to us for a bit, got all of our things signed and our pics. Saw the Stars of the Saga show where I learned that Mr. Prowse had been the personal trainer for Christopher Reeves for his role in Superman, also learned that Jeremy Bulloch is the actor that drags Princess Leia thru the door in the Bespin scene during Empire Strikes Back. Got a spot for the Hoopla, awesome as usual, and ended our day, exhausted but satisfied as to what we had accomplished. Sadly last weekend report to come.
