Star Wars Weekends

We arrived around 4:30 A.M Friday morning to discover that Morrison had to cancel due to a family emergency. Luckily, they had added Ashley Eckstein, the voice actor for Ahoska and host of Behind the Force to do autographs. This year there was no merchandising line outside of the park, this could be because I went the last weekend this year or a more interesting and plausable reason is that they released all of the weekend pins the first weekend so there would be no rush these last few weekends to purchase them. The lines for Dave and Ashley were of decent length at 4:30. I was in the first group for Dave and the second for Ashley. During the last weekend, all of the weekend pins were available aside from the vader one, The 3rd series of action figures of disney characters in star wars outfits unfortunatly was not available during the weekends and will be available in July. The three new Potato heads, Yoda, C3PO and Chewbacca are due out in October. The Behind the Force and Celebrity Talk shows that we as fans had to wait outside in the blazing sun were treated to a nice thing by the cast members this year, we were told to wait under the awning behind the Muppet show. The Stormtrooper pre show has changed this year slightly from previous years. It is still funny although a tad longer than in the past. The weekend shirts were on sale for 9.99 this last weekend and the Artoo webcam was brought to 75% off on Monday after the weekends. The parade on friday featured the 501st Legion marching in it which was truly impressive to see as it always a treat to see them. I dont believe there is anything else I can add to this report this year, I hope everyone enjoyed Star Wars Weekends 2009 and hope to see everyone in 2010
