Finally there has been some movement on the informational front for Star Wars Weekends. We now have our first look at the pins for SWW, which you can see here at: http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/pin?id=34956
Personally I am very fond of the Mickey/Stitch pin and the Stitch as the Emperor pin. Both of these look well done and not too forced as an art work. The Darth Maul/Donald pin is also clever looking and very likely another preview to the Big Fig that will be coming soon. All of these fit in well with the artworks of the past and do the celebration justice.
There are a few others that come off pretty well. Donald as Han Solo looks decent, and the hair will give you a good laugh. I don't really see a problem with that one. Minnie as Princess Leia is a good one along with Daisy as Aura Sing the bounty huntress.
I like Stitch as Yoda, but I'm torn... should he be the powerful and near all knowing Jedi Master, or the secretive and ruthless Sith Lord. I kind of like him in the Sith role, but at the same time his size says Yoda! Of course... "size matters not".
Not working very well for me -Pete as Boba Fett. Funny, but OUCH, not a pretty sight. Goofy as Chewbacca looks... well heck it's Goofy. At this point after seeing him as Darth Vader in boxers and Jar Jar Binks, he has become the chameleon of SWW. I need a different option at this point. Chip and Dale as Ewoks works for me as well as the Ewoks do in episode VI. They are a necessary evil and I will tolerate them for the betterment of the galaxy. Just don't tell me how cute they are!

Sith is Growing
I thought that Disney was not going to do the Evil Mickey anymore, that is why they made goofy the one on the darth side. Yet here we have Mickey as anakin in his transformation to Darth Vader. Anyone have the details on this? Or has Disney reconsidered.
Good question
I hadn't heard that but I suppose Disney reconsidered when they thought they could make some more money in the process. Just my guess.
Pins
Good to see some more merchandise coming out, even if pins do very little for me. The big figs, dolls and shirts are the big merchandise pieces for me.
***It is too soon to say for
***It is too soon to say for sure that this is the definitive set of pins, but it is definately a new set for this year matching much of the artwork we have seen to this point. There should be even more on the horizon with the release of the official art work for this year.
