Rolling on to Weekend #1

I just got an email from my wife which states quite simply "We are going to Disney World!!!"   The whole family is pretty excited now.  We fly out tonight and had to pack everything last night (ok the wife was packed a few days ago), so now we are just chomping at the bit to get through the work day and get to the airport.

The packing has been fun and chaotic all at once.  We keep changing our minds on what we are bringing and finding certain items has occassionally been a problem.  Just the other day there was mass panic when I couldn't find my Darth Vader towel!  Hey, what can I say, I like it and I wasn't leaving for Star Wars Weekends without it!  Luckily after about an hour, in which I enlisted my wifes help I did find it.  AHH, balance in the Force once again.

I have double checked all of the cameras, packed the essentials and proper clothing for the MUSTAFAR Heat.  (Double checked the Forcast and was pleased to find that while it will be HOT, the overall projection is for sunny weather.  Of course everything is subject to change.)  I've got my Darth Vader PSP charging so that I can entertain myself with of course, a Star Wars game.  Grabbed my Troy Denning Novel so that I can get him to sign it Saturday.  Double checked the items that I plan to have autographed by Jeremy Bulloch and Daniel Logan.  I'm still pondering what Warrwick Davis might autograph, but I'm not worried.

My child has packed things that she believes she will have time to play with.  Ah, how fast they forget that daddy will walk the legs off of everyone.  There is no rest on this trip, too much to do!!!  We did have one item last night that we asked her to find.  She had no luck, but in the process dumped everything out into the center of her room   EVERYTHING.  So we spent some "extra" time straightening some things up in there late last night.  Hope she enjoys SWW, because she has work to do when she gets home!

The wife is the great organizer.  She has her list and has checked it about 11 times.  So safe to say, if it isn't packed we either don't need it or just need to buy it.  I have no worries here, and she is just as excited as I am.  Heck, we may be more excited than the little apprentice.  So with the wife I know we are ready.  Without her, the kid and I would never make it out of the driveway.

So the wait is almost over.  Soon I will hear that familiar Star Wars Theme, smell the sweet smells of the Park and experience the adventure that is SWW.  It's all a matter of time now,  I'm doing a lot of clock watching.  The preparations are complete.  Just get me through the day!

I will not be updating again until after June 10th.  It's time to go play!
