Just a quick note to point out that Star Wars.com is doing their part by putting a little bit of information out each week. We started out with dates and Big Fig information and now have our first, albeit small bit of additional merchandise information.
This year Star Wars Weekends will introduce exclusive Jedi Training Academy action figures. This set will include Darth Vader, Padawans and the Jedi Master. This is a cute looking set, especially if your young Jedi has had the opportunity to participate. I do think the Jedi Training Academy is a must for any young (boy or girl) Padawan.
Also being sold this year will be two banks, sold exclusively at Disney's Hollywood Studios and at Disneyland. One is of a Storm Trooper helmet, which looks very cool IMO, and the other is of Luke Mickey & Leia Minnie in the Traditional Poster pose of Episode IV a new hope. You can check it out here:

It is great that Star Wars.com is keeping the information coming. While it isn't everything, the pace is such that we can take a good look at each tidbit. So far I like the way they are handling this and hope they keep it up. Disney.com would do themselves a favor simply by including a link to the Star Wars Weekends section of StarWars.com if just to say they are keeping up. Either way, the flow of information is better now than it has been in a long time.
Also check this out. These are Disney Characters done as Action Figures. This information was put up today 3/4/09 on StarWars.com. Here's hoping the gang over there keeps the info coming!

SWW Planning Chats?
Are you guys thinking of doing SWW planning chats again this year?
Planning Chats
It is safe to say that there are planning chats in our future.
Not bad
I think the JTA figures are pretty cool, but the banks don't do much for me. Then again, I don't think money banks are marketed to my demographic.
